The new 2015/16 Canary Islands Discovery is an 8 day program on board Variety’s very sleek, yet very intimate, Mega Yacht
Harmony V. Accommodating just 49 passengers in 25 cabins, the 55 metre vessel, features a 200m2 sun deck including an al-fresco dining area, a Mini-Spa, bars and lounge area.
“We believe that this destination – a 10 islands archipelago – is a perfect fit for our small ships, with a tremendous bio and cultural diversity and close to perfect weather conditions”, said Yiannis Vontas, Variety Cruises Executive VP Development & Marketing.
The unique program will explore all the main islands in this very picturesque, unspoiled part of the world. Each day will usher in new discoveries – quiet beaches, exotic flora and volcanic landscaped.
Travellers will visit the Gran Canaria – the main island with its capital Las Palmas, cosmopolitan Lanzarote, Tenerife and La Palma or Isla Bonita. The simple wild beauty of Fuerteventura and the small and quaint island of La Gomera are sure to enchant.
After careful consideration, Variety Cruises decided to sail the Canary Islands during the time of the year when temperatures are cooler and winds calmer – believing it to be the most ideal time.
“We will sail from December 2015 to April 2016 in the Canary Islands”, said Yiannis, “Which is the best period to visit this part of the world with temperatures not exceeding 22/23 degrees Celsius and when winds are at their lowest”.

The Variety Cruises’ Difference
For over 25 years, Variety has been taking their guests to mesmerising cosmopolitan and out of the way ports of call in a relaxed, private yacht-like atmosphere with a friendly and professional crew. Variety’s intimate ships, which carry just 44-72 guests, dock so close to where guests want to be, they simply step ashore and are amongst all the action. This means, no queues to access tenders and a flexible cruise schedule which allows guests freedom to fully enjoy each port at their own pace.
Variety Cruises cruise destinations include: Greece & Turkey, the Red Sea, the Seychelles, Madagascar, Costa Rica and the Panama, Cuba and the Canary Islands.
