MSC Cruises, the world’s largest privately-owned cruise line and market leader in Europe, South America and South Africa, is further deepening its family entertainment by giving younger guests the opportunity to star in the second series of MSC’s popular kids web series ‘Kelly & Kloe’ via onboard auditions.
Following the success of the first series in 2016, MSC Cruises is developing a second series consisting of four episodes, each with its own theme: one on the brand new ship MSC Meraviglia, one for Halloween, one for Christmas and a special themed episode, Masquerade.
To date, the web series and trailer has been enjoyed by over 1.5 million people via social and web media with over 40,000 children, who have taken part in the Kelly and Kloe experience day. In addition to being part of the series there are a range of interactive activities, specially designed for kids of all ages.
As a family owned business this series for children widens an already exciting range of family and child friendly styles aboard the MSC fleet. Children under 12 year cruise free in 2017 and from Summer (April 2018), over selected sailings, this will increase to under 18 years, when sharing one cabin with two adults only paying port charges. In addition the new mega ships, MSC Meraviglia being the first in June 2017, will debut some stunning Super Family cabins allowing families of up to 10 people at amazing prices.
To enhance the family cruise experience even more MSC offers two unique family dining experiences. HAPPY DINERS allows families to enjoy the main restaurant dinner and when the kids are finished their special kids menu, MSC’s amazing staff will collect them and return to the clubs for evening entertainment whilst you relax and finish your meal in peace. For a true parent relaxation, you can consider the FUN TIMERS DINNER where the children come from the club with their new found friends and MSC staff and they dine together in a special area of the main restaurant, allowing mum and dad to relax at their table a short distance away as they dine.
With a plethora of aqua parks, bowling alleys, formula 1 simulators and a range of teen spa packages and kids Olympic style games, the MSC fleet offers a wide range of amazing activities from 3 up to 17 years. The TEEN CARD for the older children (12-17yrs) gives them the chance to enjoy some freedom and again relieve the parents stress. With pre-purchased amounts from EUR30 or EUR50 they have the freedom to explore and enjoy with a little adult responsibility.
For children looking to be stars, MSC Cruises has opened auditions for children between the ages of 8 and 17 for a number of characters who will play roles in the new series. Auditions are open to all kids whilst on board and will be filmed via a green screen experience, the children will perform the show’s theme song and dance routine, as well as explaining to the camera why they would like to feature in the new series. Parents can also purchase this video to take home as a souvenir from their cruise*. Casting will run until January 2018 with characters being selected in June, September, November 2017 and January 2018.
