Remains of a rare serpent-like Oarfish have been brought to the surface off the coast of California after being located by a snorkeller while diving last weekend. The 5.5-metre creature, which was already dead when found, is a species of which little is known due to a tendency to live at depths of more than one kilometre underwater.
