Norwegian Cruise Line today opened for sale the line’s 2018/19 Australia and New Zealand cruises aboard Norwegian Jewel, which will be back for its second season, fresh from a multi-million dollar refurbishment. Norwegian Jewel’s second season will consist of exciting Australian and New Zealand itineraries taking in destinations such as Melbourne, Cairns, Hobart, Milford Sound, Wellington and Tauranga, as well as itineraries to the South Pacific, Southeast Asia, and a transpacific voyage from Vancouver to Tokyo (Yokohama).
Ahead of her 2018/19 season in Australia and New Zealand, Norwegian Jewel will undergo a refurbishment in Singapore as part of the multi-million-dollar Norwegian Edge™ revitalisation program, before emerging with a new look for a series of Australasian sailings.
“The excitement around Norwegian Jewel’s highly anticipated Australian season, beginning next month, has reached fever pitch. We can’t wait for local cruise fans to experience the freedom and flexibility of cruising with Norwegian Cruise Line first hand. Buoyed by strong bookings from Aussie travellers for her first local season, she will be returning refreshed and ready for her second season in Australian waters beginning November 2018,” explained Steve Odell, Senior Vice President and Managing Director Asia Pacific for Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings.
Highlights for the new 2018/19 season include a spectacular 19-day transpacific journey from Vancouver to Tokyo (Yokohama) via Alaska and Russia; a 19 day Journey to Australia from Singapore with stops in Bali and Komodo Island; a new 13-day South Pacific itinerary and – back by popular demand – a series of sailings in and around Australia and New Zealand, including a seven-day Tasmania itinerary in the days leading up to Christmas.
