EUROPEAN ferry operator Viking Line has
announced work has begun at the Turku
Shipyard, to create its newest ferry.
Designed to be the most environmentally
friendly ferry in the world, the new generation
ship will be fuelled by liquefied natural gas and
will have the lowest air emissions of any ferry
on the water.
Viking line operates routes between Finland
and Sweden, and the new ferry is expected to
join its fleet at the start of 2013.
