THE US National Hurricane Center has
issued a Public Advisory about Tropical
Storm Gert, which is currently moving
northwards and expected to pass just east
of Bermuda in the Caribbean later today.
Maximum wind speeds of 95km are
expected, with vessels in the region
including Norwegian Dawn and Royal
Caribbean’s Explorer of the Seas.
Neither cruise line has announced any
itinerary changes at this stage, with other
cruise ship calls scheduled for Bermuda
later in the week also expected to be
unaffected by the storm.
