Sydney’s Bondi Beach has served as the canvas for the reveal this afternoon of two new ship names in the P&O Cruises Australia fleet.
Pacific Eden and Pacific Aria were the two names woven into the sand on Australia’s most iconic beach by artist Chloe Dickey, accompanied by a decorative sand mural.
The two new vessels will transfer from the Holland America Line (HAL) fleet in November next year, and following a complete refurbishment, will become the fourth and fifth members of P&O Cruises’ Australia fleet. They will then be put into service alongside the line’s current fleet, which consists of Pacific Jewel, Pacific Dawn and Pacific Jewel.
Both vessels currently operate for HAL under the names of MS Ryndam and MS Statendam.
The additions will take the number of ships based in Australia, either temporarily or permanently at any stage of the year, to 12 vessels.
