Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Australasia has announced a super February weekend with two major cruise events, the Cruise3sixty Australasia conference and the 2014 Cruise Industry Awards, both confirmed for the end of month.
CLIA Australasia General Manager Brett Jardine said the marquee events would both be held at the revamped Star Event Centre, Sydney, and had been organised over consecutive days to make it easier for those travelling from interstate or overseas to attend.
After a successful debut in Sydney this year, Cruise3sixty Australasia will return on Friday February 27 featuring a line-up of senior cruise industry executives and keynote speakers.
There will also be a business-oriented trade show offering attendees the chance to meet with cruise line representatives and other significant cruise industry suppliers.
“The first Cruise3sixty Australasia was extremely well received by the trade and we hope to take it to a whole new level in 2015. We have a lot of interest from international cruise executives wishing to attend and we have taken onboard feedback received from 2014 to ensure we deliver a “must-attend” event in February,” Mr Jardine said.
As part of the 2015 event CLIA is working with the Port Authority of NSW to deliver an optional Saturday morning tour of Sydney’s cruise terminals including the revamped Overseas Passenger Terminal and White Bay.
Cruise3sixty tickets can be purchased online at www.cruising.org.au/cruise3sixty.asp with CLIA members receiving discounted entry at $295. Non-CLIA Members are welcome to attend.
Also to be held at the Star Event Centre, the 12th Annual Cruise Industry Awards will follow Cruise3sixty on Saturday February 28.
More information will be released on both events in the coming months.
