Tom Harper River Journeys is excited to unveil its very own river cruiser for the 2016 river cruising season, MS Birdsong. Built and based in Europe, the 88-cabin Birdsong brings the next level of modernism to several aspects of river cruising, including an array of cabins dedicated to singles with no single supplement charge, and an oversized fitness/wellness center. The ship’s inaugural 12-day cruise from Basel, Switzerland to Amsterdam is slated for March 2016.
“We are thrilled to introduce MS Birdsong to the world of river cruisers,” said Tom Harper CEO Bret Gordon. “She will be adorned in Tom Harper green, and we are especially excited about offering the exclusive small-group experiences and on-shore activities our travelers have requested.”
The Birdsong’s land explorations will include no more than 24 guests per group, versus the industry average of 45 guests. A smaller guide-to-guest ratio will create better cultural immersion and increased maneuverability within destinations and venues.
“Paired with our simplified and comprehensive pricing, including all tours, meals and gratuities, we will extend our proven concept of immersive and unique off-ship experiences by balancing must-see places on unique itineraries with those special spots known only by locals,” said Gordon.
Tom Harper is taking an extra step to enhance the experience for solo travelers. Birdsong will offer an array of cabins dedicated to singles with no single supplement charge. These 132 square-foot staterooms are located on middle and upper decks, include French balconies, and offer the best price for solo travelers onboard.
Other exciting features of the MS Birdsong include: an intimate wine bar, a larger-than-usual fitness and wellness center including a relaxation area equipped with chaises, oversized windows, a whirlpool and sauna, all with scenic views, and attentive service geared toward English-speaking travelers.
Throughout 2016, Birdsong will operate 8 – 13 day river cruise tours along the waterways of Holland and Belgium, the Rhine, Main, Moselle, and Danube rivers, including options during Christmas Market season and special sailings over the Christmas and New Year holidays.
Travelers can book online via Tom Harper’s exclusive 3-step online booking system, or by calling 1-855-464-2773.
