COSTA Cruises’ newest fleet member Costa
Fascinosa will be named in Savona on 06 May
2012 during her preview cruise departing
Venice on 02 May 2012.
Together with her sistership Costa Favolosa,
Costa Facinosa, currently being fitted out at
Fincantieri’s Marghera shipyard, will be the
largest cruise ship flying the Italian flag.
The 16th cruise ship in the Costa fleet, Costa
Facinosa cost the cruise line a healthy €510m
to construct.
Meanwhile Costa’s €5b 10 ship fleet expansion
plans also include the creation of a yet unnamed
132,500 gross ton, 4,928-guest vessel which is
scheduled for delivery in October 2014.
To support its increasing ship and passenger
numbers arriving in the port of Savona Costa
has said it will continue to invest in port
infrastructure, including its second terminal
due to start construction in January next year.
