PAUL Gauguin Cruises 332-guest luxury
vessel Paul Gauguin has emerged from its
largest renovation ever, which started during
the ship’s recent 10-night crossing from Tahiti
to Brisbane, and which was completed during
the 11-night drydock that followed.
Costing a cool seven million dollars, the
renovations included new flooring and
carpeting; new furniture, window treatments,
decorative wall panels, and signage; as well as
new teak railings and bathroom flooring in
suites and staterooms.
Gauguin’s La Veranda restaurant also received
a redesigned entrance, refinished indoor and
outdoor furniture and solar shades throughout;
whilst the vessel’s Le Grill now boasts new
decorative partitions and divider walls, as well
as a new buffet area and new lighting.
Other enhancements include a new built-in
banquette on Promenade Deck 5 and an
received a new integrated display case for
books and art, La Palette scored a decorative
stone band along the front of the bar and an
updated lighting system, and Le Grand Salon
and La Palette now have refurbished floors.
