Cruise1st wholesale offshoot to target trade sales.
Geoff Hackett has joined forces with Carl Frier of Cruise1st to push the company’s Cruisefusion package operation into the future as its general manager.
Hackett, who founded Worldwide Cruise Centres in 2003, stepped down last year but will now take full P&L responsibility for Cruisefusion, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cruise1st – itself 40% owned by Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.
Cruise1st Australia md Carl Frier said Hackett’s previous experience and track record will “build on what is now a recognised cruise package wholesaler”.
“Cruisefusion will continue to leverage its amazing offers, along with Geoff Hackett’s years of experience, to provide an outstanding B2B service for the cruise industry. It will also increase trade access to high-quality cruise holiday product,” he said.
Hacket added “Cruisefusion is already established and has a solid base of agents trading with excellent infrastructure. It has all the right ingredients to support the trade but it needs someone driving the brand who understands distribution and that had a primary focus of supporting travel agent trade partners”.
