AUSTRALIA’S Aurora Expeditions has
become one of the first companies ever to
traverse Russia’s North East Passage, with a
26-day voyage onboard Akademik Shokalskiy
wrapping up this week.
The cruise departed Murmansk on 10 August
and crossed nine timezones on Siberia’s vast
north coast to Anadyr, visiting places where
few people have ever been.
Aurora ceo Lisa Bolton said the trip was a
“real modern-day exploration and adventure”
with the 2012 equivalent already sold out and
2013 enquiries being taken on 02 9252 1033.
