25 FURRY ‘GUIDE DOGS FOR THE BLIND’ graduates and their owners recently took a tour of Princess Cruises’ Sea Princess, as part of the cruise line’s bid to demonstrate how it can accommodate visually impaired travellers and their canine companions. As part of the day’s proceedings the group and their well behaved pooches enjoyed a ship tour followed by lunch in the main dining room, where they learned about Sea Princess’ specially translated menus for the visually impaired, as well as its reserved seating in the Princess Theatre with room for both the guest and their guide dog. For dogs, the group learned that Sea Princess offers special life jackets, bowls of water in the dining room and relieving boxes with cedar chips. “These dogs are canine heroes,” said Princess Cruises’ Brian Rademacher.
