COMPAGNIE du Ponant has announced the
name of its newest vessel, set to be launched
in July 2013, Le Soléal.
When she launches, Le Soléal will boast 132
staterooms and suites, and according to
Ponant, will embody a yacht-cruising concept.
Le Soléal’s debut season will see the vessel
sail a series of Arctic cruises, with itineraries
which take in the North West Passage, the
Bering Strait and beyond the Arctic Circle,
enabling guests to experience Inuit culture,
and giving them a front row seat to Arctic
wildlife (polar bears, whales) in the raw.
