SILVERSEA Cruises Chief Executive Officer & President Barbara Muckermann doubled down on Australia as the line’s largest region of investment, as it prepares to sail Silver Cloud in the Kimberley next year (CW 06 Mar).
Speaking at an exclusive luncheon at a’Mare at Crown Sydney, Muckermann updated guests on Silversea’s latest announcements and developments, reinforcing Australia as one of the cruise line’s most important markets (CW 04 Apr), as it is set to overtake the United Kingdom.
The cruise line is also Royal Caribbean Group’s fastest-growing brand, Muckermann said, having taken delivery of four ships in the past 12 months.
“Silversea is the largest player in the luxury expedition market and in luxury cruising,” she said.
“We have about 21% of global market share, and by 2027, we will reach 34% of market share.”
