CUNARD Line has revealed its once-in-a-lifetime sports experiences for its Sporting Greats & Wellness Voyage, with passengers able to have a yarn at the pub with Australian former cricket player Brett Lee, and learn how to golf with Hall of Famer Karrie Webb.
Departing Sydney on 13 Feb 2024, this “event voyage” on board Queen Elizabeth will give guests the opportunity to interact with some of Australia’s biggest sports legends.
During candid live talks, guests will relive edge-of-your-seat career moments from the legends, find out what it takes to be a top-flight athlete at the peak of your game, and hear exceptional behind the scenes stories.
Off the stage, passengers will be able to challenge former AFL player Adam Goodes (pictured) to shuffleboard, paddle tennis, or croquet, and join sports journalist Mark Beretta behind the scenes of the Albert Park Circuit, and hear stories from his rich racing experience.
New on board wellness programming also allows cruisers to unwind and nurture their mind and body during the sailing.
The Mareel Wellness & Beauty sanctuary is the place to be for guests to switch off in the sauna or steam rooms, rejuvenate during a massage, and get pampered head-to-toe during a treatment.
Daily complimentary classes consist of yoga, spin classes, and boot camp, followed by a session in the thermal suite, stretching & aerobics classes, and more.
“We are really excited about the variety of unique activities on board our Sporting Greats & Wellness Voyage,” Director Katrina McAlpine enthused.
“We’ve created exclusive once-in-a-lifetime experiences where guests will be able to interact with our sport icons on a personal and engaging level.
“On top of that, sailing on the ocean is the perfect opportunity to switch off, get pampered and treat oneself well away from all the daily distractions and stresses.”
