RUSSIAN Travel Centre is promoting a special
voyage on the Lower Volga in September next
year, featuring Tony Brenton as guest lecturer.
Passengers will be able to gain unique
insights into Russia and its relationships with
the West, because Brenton was Britain’s
Ambassador to Russia from 2004-2008.
His presentations willl include unique insider
knowledge of Russian politics, as well as details
of the country’s unique history and culture.
The 100-passenger Volga Dream will journey
down the Volga River for 13 days, taking in
exotic locations such as Kazan (the capital of
the Tatarstan Republic), the Space Museum in
Samara, Volgograd (formerly Stalingrad) and
Astrakhan with the fortress of Ivan the Terrible.
