Sydney Harbour Sailing is a
relatively new kid on the block, having
launched in September last year.
Owned in part by luxury cruise
operator Sea Sydney Cruises,
Sailing Sydney is targeted more to
the budget/youth market, and offers
three different personalised Sydney
Harbour cruising experiences.
Hosted on its 45-foot purpose
built catamaran, the Morning,
Lunch and Dusk cruises range in length from three to four hours and are guaranteed to
depart with just four guests.
Generally speaking the cruises draw a demographic of people aged between 18yrs and
40yrs, have a capacity for 45 guests, and according to the cruise line, have been very
popular with international tourists.
Onboard guests can expect to take a personalised tour of all the local Sydney highlights as
well as enjoy a bite to eat, opportunities to have a swim, lounge about on a secluded beach
and have a beverage or two.
Speaking to CW, Sailing Sydney’s Pip McLean said the product was great because of the
level of personal attention, and the crew’s ability to tailor cruises to the wishes of their guests.
“So far we’ve had great feedback,” she said, adding that “Sydney has had probably one of
its worst summers and yet our cruises have worked really well”.
Voyages are priced at $49pp for a three hour Morning Cruise, $75pp for a four hour Lunch
Cruise and $75 for a three hour Dusk Cruise.
