The pioneer of expedition travel, Lindblad Expeditions-?National Geographic, has released three expertly crafted itineraries as part of its Antarctica 2016/17 program, with prices starting from $14,410 per person – twin share.
There’s no better time than now to explore this southern sea as Lindblad Expeditions prepares to celebrate 50 years of taking travellers to what was once a scientific research haven.
Budding explorers can choose from three expeditions ranging from 12 to 22 days, two of which include a visit to South Georgia and the Falklands. Adventure seekers can hike, cruise, walk and kayak amongst icebergs, getting up close to Antarctica’s native polar animals, and observing penguins, whales and seals in their natural environment.
Home to dramatic scenery and excellent lighting, Antarctica is a photographers’ dream. When travelling with Lindblad Expeditions, guests will learn from the best as all trips feature a National Geographic certified photographer and an undersea specialist who can capture underwater footage of up to 300 metres.
Travellers will be suitably prepared for polar exploration when travelling aboard the renowned National Geographic Explorer and National Geographic Orion, which come equipped with Zodiac landing crafts, kayaks and snorkeling gear. Departures are available from December 2016 to March 2017, with expeditions expected to sell out quickly.
