P&O UK has reportedly settled out of court
with a passenger who was offended by a series
of jokes told by comedians onboard Oriana
and Artemis.
Hailing from Ireland, the man and his wife
were deeply offended by jokes about Irish
people told onboard Oriana in 2007, and when
they complained they were given vouchers and
told the cruise line would not let such jokes be
told onboard its vessels ever again.
According to reports, the man sailed again
with the cruise line in 2008 and again was
offended by a set of similar offensive jokes
about Irish people, after which he decided to
launch legal action.
The case was however settled amicably out
of court this month.
