A BUS standoff in the popular cruise port of
Bermuda has been placed into arbitration,
meaning bus drivers have had to end their
strike and return to work.
An important tourist transport facility, the
Island’s bus system was thrown into chaos
when the drivers’ union took its fight to the
government following the sacking of a driver
for refusing a drug test.
Last week cruise passengers were unable to
use the bus system to travel to the destination’s
beaches, malls and tourist attractions.
Now in arbitration, it is unclear when the
issue will be resolved, but for now busses are
back online.
