MSC Group has announced upgrades to its Catalina Island beach destination in La Romana, Dominican Republic.
Guests will soon be able to enjoy upgraded facilities thanks to a new joint venture between CTL Maritime, part of the MSC Group, and Casa de Campo Resort & Villas.
The island will welcome cruise ship guests, including MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys, other cruise lines, and private clients including from Casa de Campo Resort & Villas.
Visitors can expect elevated food and beverage options, including an open-air beach pavilion buffet and a tropical palapa bar, as well as additional shaded spaces.
The island will also offer more ways to enjoy the water, including cabanas and daybeds available for rent, a dedicated water sports centre with equipment for hire, and improved changing, shower and restroom areas.
MSC will commence year-round operation from La Romana this Nov.
