Celebrity Cruises is planning its
biggest European program in
2013 and will send Celebrity
Solstice to Alaska after its
inaugural season in Australia.
FOR the first time, the revamped Celebrity
Infinity will be offering summer cruises from
the UK from mid-2013.
Infinity was one of four ships to be ‘Solsticised’
with new features from the fleet’s awardwinning
Solstice Class and will offer new British
Isles and Fjords sailings from Harwich, England.
The summer of 2013 will mark Celebrity’s
biggest season ever in Europe, with Infinity
joining Celebrity Eclipse, Constellation, Equinox,
Silhouette and the soon-to-debut Reflection in
offering the broadest array of modern luxury
cruises on the newest fleet of ships in the region.
“Our decision to expand our European
cruising options from the UK on our newly
‘Solsticised’ Celebrity Infinity is in direct
response to increased demand for more of the
modern luxury holidays that only Celebrity can
provide,” said the company’s president & CEO
Dan Hanrahan.
Alaska is also in line for its first Solstice Class
vessel, with the 2,850-passenger flagship
Celebrity Solstice joining Celebrity Century and
Millennium in summer 2013.
“Celebrity Solstice is the ideal platform for a
modern luxury cruise in the gorgeous state of
Alaska… and with 85% of staterooms having
verandas, guests will have more opportunities
to take in the endlessly appealing views,” said
Hanrahan.
Meanwhile, Celebrity Summit, which this
month became the third in the line’s Millennium
Class fleet to complete the brand’s Solsticising
initiative, will return to Bermuda; and the
intimate 96-passenger Celebrity Xpedition will
continue to explore the Galapagos Islands.
Full details of Celebrity’s summer 2013
itineraries are set to be announced this month
when the first of the series opens for booking.
