The team at Carnival Cruise Lines played Santa’s helpers last weekend to partner with CREATE Foundation and treat 50 young people in foster care to an early Christmas celebration onboard Carnival Legend in Sydney.
This is the second year the Carnival Cruise Lines team has hosted a Christmas party for CREATE Foundation, the peak body working on behalf of all children and young people in out-of-home care, such as foster, kinship or residential care.
During the festivities, the children and their foster families enjoyed a visit from Santa, lunch in Nouveau Restaurant and hours of fun at Carnival WaterWorks, including plenty of time on Green Thunder – the fastest and steepest waterslide at sea.
Carnival Cruise Lines Vice President Australia Jennifer Vandekreeke said the company was delighted to host the families onboard.
“As the world’s biggest family cruise line, it was a real thrill for us to put smiles on so many deserving faces,” Ms Vandekreeke said.
