Five ships to be based in the NSW capital for 2016/17 season.
Princess Cruises has just announced further expansion of its Australian-based fleet, with the 3,082-passenger Emerald Princess to become the newest jewel sailing from Sydney.
The liner will arrive in Sydney for the first time on 15 Nov 2016, according to the Sydney Ports schedule, and will stay until April 2017, making nearly 12,000 berths available on five Princess ships over the season.
Emerald Princess is one of the fleet’s youngest, first launched in 2007. She will operate itineraries to New Zealand and the South Pacific, with more details to be revealed in coming months.
The liner joins Diamond Princess as a seasonal addition to the Australian fleet, while Dawn Princess, Sea Princess and Sun Princess will continue to operate year-round from Melbourne, Brisbane, Fremantle and Sydney.
