Imagine Cruising adds a new office in Perth via acquisition of Holiday Planet.
Emirates Group’s cruise business Imagine Cruising has just confirmed the acquisition of Perth-based Holiday Planet, with the company owned 51% by EK’s Dnata division continuing its expansion in Australia after establishing an operation in Brisbane just 12 months ago.
Imagine Cruising launched in 2011, and now has 140 staff in its UK office as well as 40 employees in Brisbane and another office in Cape Town.
Holiday Planet brands include Cruise Planet, Flight Planet and Seniors Planet, with the business established about 17 years ago in Perth.
Imagine Cruising founder and ceo Robin Deller said Holiday Planet was an excellent fit for the company as it looks to further expand in Australia. “Their expertise in offering a wide range of holidays, combined with our expertise in Cruise and Stay holidays, will provide a compelling offering to holidaymakers right across Australia,” he said.
Holiday Planet md Alan Dodson will be remaining with the business following the acquisition, while the company’s operations director Michael Croy will retire.
