A buyer has finally been found for the ship, which was originally ordered by Dream Cruises.
Disney Cruise Line has confirmed the acquisition of the cruise ship previously known as the Global Dream, which was formerly set to be operated by the now-defunct Dream Cruises.
Reports last month hinted at the move, with Disney to work with the Meyer Werft shipbuilding company to rename and complete the vessel, which is expected to sail in 2025.
The ship will be based outside the United States, with Disney expecting her passenger capacity to be around 6,000.
