Spirit’s Australian sailings from May 2024-November 2025 have been cancelled, with Sun now heading Down Under instead.
Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Sun will replace Norwegian Spirit in Australia in 2024-25, with the latter ship’s local itineraries cancelled.
The cruise line cited increased demand for its charter business in Asia for the cancellations, which have also affected itineraries in Alaska, Hawaii, and the South Pacific.
Sun was built in 2001, making her three years younger than Spirit (1998); she also carries around 100 fewer passengers.
