Itineraries revamped to offer more round-trip Australia cruises.
Virgin Voyages this morning advised its local travel partners that four Australia-New Zealand Resilient Lady cruises scheduled between January and March next year have been cancelled.
The company said it had received significant feedback from clients and the travel industry about the itineraries on offer “so we’re adjusting our sailing schedule to provide more round-trip sailings in Australia from Melbourne and Sydney”.
The cancelled departures were scheduled for 23 January, 02 February, 14 February and 24 February 2024, with Virgin promising to provide new options and dates for impacted travel advisors to create back-to-back sailings “so your Sailors will still have an incredible holiday with us Down Under”.
Affected customers will automatically receive 100% of the fare they’ve paid converted into Future Voyage Credit, along with a bonus credit based on their booked cabin category, while Virgin is also offering full refunds if preferred.
The overall program still includes four Australia-New Zealand or vv cruises on 29 December 2023 and 12 January, 05 March and 15 March 2024.
