Cruise holiday specialists ecruising.travel have set themselves a record they believe will be hard to beat. In May, Ecruising are sending nearly 200 Australians on an exclusive cruise tour with Cunard to celebrate the 175th anniversary of the iconic cruise line.
The unique itinerary departs Sydney on May 1 with a flight to London for two nights at the iconic Savoy hotel which is almost fully booked for ecruising passengers on this tour.
The group then move on to enjoy back to back cruises on all three Queens – Victoria, Elizabeth and Mary 2 operating from Southampton. Included in the itinerary is a historic first meeting of the three ships at Cunard’s traditional home port, Liverpool where the first Cunard transatlantic service first left 175 years ago. This cruise trifecta finishes with a transatlantic crossing on QM2 to New York before the group fly home to Australia.
Ecruising executive general manager Alastair Fernie said that the fact nearly 200 people were willing to pay over $10,000 per person and spend six weeks on this wonderful itinerary shows how popular the Cunard liners are in this market.
The Cunard Liners return to Australia in March for their annual visit Down Under. The “Royal Rendezvous” of Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria in Sydney on the morning of March 12 is bound to attract attention around the harbour.
