FREEDOM OF THE SEAS HAS EMERGED FROM HER
week-long drydock earlier in the month, with
a host of new dining concepts, entertainment
options, children’s programing and
technology advancements.
The revitalisation is part of Royal
Caribbean’s US$70m ‘Royal Advantage’
enhancement program, the aim of which is
to introduce crowd-pleasing Oasis-class
favourite features onboard Liberty of the
Seas (complete), Freedom of the Seas
(complete), Radiance of the Seas (awaiting
drydock dates) and Splendour of the Seas
(awaiting drydock dates).
Freedom’s newly acquired Oasis
technology include enhanced WiFi,
interactive televisions, electronic waivers for
sports activities, and electronic mustering, as
well as a new BRITTO Gallery.
Other Oasis signatures debuting on
Freedom include the DreamWorks program
which features family-friendly activities such
as the DreamWorks Parade and Character
Breakfasts; as well as new 3-D movie
capability in Freedom’s Arcadia Theatre;
18.5-feet outdoor LED video screen walls
overlooking the main pool area featuring
movies and entertainment programs; and the
1940s inspired Cupcake Cupboard treat shop.
In addition Freedom now features a
Vintages wine lounge, Imaginocean! Puppet
Show, Royal Babies and Tots Nursery and
Digital Wayfinding system.
Following the completion of her
revitalisation Freedom has returned to
operating alternating Eastern and Western
Caribbean seven-night, round-trip itineraries
from Port Canaveral.
