SCENIC Luxury Cruises & Tours has celebrated a historic event, with two of the tour operator’s ships, Scenic Gem and Scenic Eclipse, meeting in France’s Port of Honfleur.
The meeting between two of the world’s most unique vessels took place late last week.
Gem (pictured left) is among the few river vessels able to dock in the heart of Honfleur, which connects the Seine with the English Channel.
Meanwhile Eclipse (pictured right), the world’s first ‘Discovery Yacht’, is equally equipped for expedition as she is river cruising.
Gem Captain Ludovic Libs and Eclipse Captain Radomir Novosel came together for a ceremonial presentation to mark the occasion, while the culinary team on board each ship unveiled an elaborate cake masterpiece (pictured inset).
Guests were also invited to visit the other ship. MS
