Star Cruises has placed an order with the
Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany for what
it has described as the “largest ship to be
permanently homeported in Asia”.
The 150,000-tonne vessel, scheduled for
delivery in 2016, will be capable of carrying
4,500 passengers and is being designed to
exclusively cruise in Asian waters.
Other features of the ship will include a
theatre, water park, retail zones and 33 food
and beverage outlets.
