NORWEGIAN Cruise Line has pulled the curtains back on the diverse entertainment offering aboard its upcoming ship Norwegian Luna.
The line-up is designed with multigenerational families in mind, and will feature original productions and a range of new interactive experiences.
Families with younger kids will enjoy ‘Sea of Discovery! An Under-the-Sea Festival’, which features glow games; meanwhile, older kids will appreciate ‘HIKO: Innovation Meets Wonder’, an acrobatics performance with advanced 3D mapping and multi-sensory video projection.
Adults can also expect a new level of entertainment, with a new Las Vegas-inspired circus party for passengers 21 and older.
There will also be more concert-style tribute shows – including ‘Rocket Man: A Celebration of Elton John’ (CW 20 Nov).
“We really want to create shows and experiences that the entire family can experience together, as well as segmented entertainment experiences that are for specific age groups,” NCLH vice president of entertainment production Bryan White told TravelHost.
“The through line of [the entertainment line-up] is that we want interactive and immersive entertainment,” White said.
He explained that Luna’s entertainment offering was based on feedback from guests.
“One of the other things they told us was, ‘we want more variety,’ and not just variety in the theatre – variety on the pool deck, variety in the clubs, variety in the atrium,” White added.
Norwergian Luna is scheduled to debut in Mar. JM
