Variety Cruises, represented in Australia by Discover the World, has released details on another new offering – a 10 day Madagascar & its Mozambique Channel itinerary showcasing North West Madagascar in a way no land tour or cruise has before.
Disembarking midyear from either Nosy Be or Diego Suarez, Variety’s choice of ship is perfect for island hopping and getting right into the seldom explored parts of the Mozambique Channel. Travellers will explore the unspoiled Nosy Hara, Nosy Tanikely, Nosy Komba, Amber Mountain, Nosy Mitsio and Ankarana National Park.
Tailored excursion packages will also be available – travellers can chose to snorkel or dive and watch an amazing underwater world, visit the Amber Mountain and the Ankarana National Park and discover amazing landscapes such as the famous “Tsingys” areas of Madagascar and sight varieties of lemurs and other fauna.
“The new package marks a proactive time for Variety, they’re recent additions to their already sterling itineraries and destination range demonstrates their passion for offering travellers something unique,” said Jeannie Foster, Country Director of Discover the World.
The ship chosen for the program is the recently renovated twin-hulled Pegasus, which accommodates up to 44 guests in 21 cabins, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. On board there’s magnificent sea views as you stroll the 240 square metres of open deck, a handsomely appointed lounge, zen mini spa, well-stocked library and spacious restaurant area. A platform on Pegasus stern even enables you to swim when weather and anchorage conditions permit.
