As Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines recently announced the deployment of its newest Quantum fleet ship, the Ovation of the Seas, to Australia, leading cruise operator ecruising.travel have designed a package to join the 2016 maiden voyage of one of the largest cruise ships to visit 24 destinations on three continents.
The magnificent state-of-the-art 347 metre, 168,666 tonne vessel, Ovation of the Seas will make a 52-night voyage from Southampton on May 3, 2016, to Beijing via the Mediterranean Sea, the Suez Canal, the Arabian Gulf and south-east Asia – an experience that will cost from $12,949, which will include air fares from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to London and return from Beijing. There’s a small surcharge from other cities.
The package also includes two nights accommodation at the celebrated Savoy Hotel in London and two nights at Raffles Beijing, land transfers a London Sightseeing Pass and a Mutianyu Great Wall tour.
After departing Southampton Ovation of the Seas will make three port calls in Spain and then visit Gibraltar, Rome, Naples, Athens, several Middle East ports, Cochin in India, Singapore then Penang and Port Klang in Malaysia before steering north to Vietnam, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea and finally Beijing.
The ship will have a number of unique features, including an open living room with 270 degree panoramic views, Ripcord (the first sky-diving experience at sea), North Star- an engineering marvel which transports guests 100 metres above the sea and the world’s largest sports and entertainment centre at sea which includes bumper cars and roller skating among its activities.
ecruising’s package will include all accommodation and meals at sea and the use of ship amenities such as the robotic bartender in the Bionic Bar, two FlowRider surf simulators, the sky-diving simulator, a special H2O zone for children, a rock climbing wall and a spa and fitness centre, plus a choice of entertainment venues and programmes.
