Founded in 1517 by King Francis l, Le Havre (Paris) is celebrating 500 years. Many celebrations have been planned, including an exhibition of contemporary art at the MuMa Museum of Modern Art André Malraux.
Included in this exhibition is Claude Monet’s Impression, soleil levant, a seminal work that named the artistic movement and has now been returned to the place it was originally painted in 1872.
MSC Cruises has secured tickets to view this painting. Departing September 26, 2017 aboard MSC Preziosa, this unique shore excursion costs only $202 per person. However, guests should pre-book as soon as possible to ensure they don’t miss out on this opportunity.
Once guests arrive at MuMa, they will meet a French-speaking museum guide, for whom their tour guide will interpret, as they are shown around the exhibition. Guests will not only view the famous Monet artwork Impression, Sunrise, but also works by such masters as Claude Monet, Eugène Boudin, William Turner and Raoul Dufy, among others. Guests will then have time to explore the museum before a panoramic coach tour of Le Havre.
Guests can pre-book their shore excursion at www.msccruises.com.au through Manage Your Booking.
