Norway is the first cruisetour
holiday on offer from
Discover The World.
REGARDED AS ONE OF THE WORLD’S MOST
beautiful cruising destinations, the
Norwegian coastline is now more accessible
through a new range of “hassle-free ‘snapon’
modules” for European holidays.
The Discover Norway range is Discover
The World’s first venture into cruise-tour
packages, in conjunction with the region’s
cruising specialist, Hurtigruten.
The initial three options
include a 14-day
‘Spectacular Norway’ tour
combining rail, road and
sea, roundtrip from Oslo.
Fjords, mountains and
waterfalls act as a backdrop
for the entire cruise, and on
land, travellers explore
historic towns and the scenic
railway of Flam.
‘The Taste of Spectacular Norway’ cruisetour
condenses this itinerary into nine days,
with seven days aboard Hurtigruten.
Tours depart daily and prices start at
$2,306 per person, twin-share for selected
2011/2012 departures.
‘Land of Fjords’ takes guests aboard
Hurtigruten’s Classic Voyage South, followed
by a farm stay in Findebotten, with guided
hiking, fishing, canoeing, and berry and
mushroom picking.
Available between June and September
2011, prices start at $4,626 per person,
twin-share.
‘Winter Wilderness’ includes a six-day
cruise, two nights in Hanseatic Bergen, one
night in a mountain lodge, a “snowmobile
safari” and dog-sledding.
Tours depart between January and March
2012, priced from $5,234 per person, twinshare.
“Norway is one of those destinations that
is perhaps on a traveller’s itinerary for their
second holiday to Europe, even though it’s
as close a destination from most major
European airline hubs, and perhaps
promises some of the finest and most
extraordinary natural sightseeing and a
fascinating history,” said Roger Condon,
sales manager, Discover The World.
