Sydney, 23 December 2014: With five times the number of inbound passengers expected to dock in Sydney these holidays, a new and interactive travel website is set to help busy parents aboard to plan their family itineraries in the city.
Passenger numbers on ferries in Sydney typically jump to around 100,000 per day during the holidays, compared to about 20,000 on an everyday basis.
beyondthewharf.com.au/kids showcases the best family-friendly activities in Sydney this Christmas and New Year as part of a new partnership between Bound Round, a travel content platform for tweens, and Beyond the Wharf, an interactive digital platform from Harbour City Ferries, the operator of Sydney’s iconic ferry service.
beyondthewharf.com.au/kids, which launched this week on December 22, gives kids and parents access to entertaining and insightful video reviews, along with images and information about the city’s destinations and activities.
Content for the website will be generated from the real experiences of the Bound Round team in Sydney and expert tips from the Ferry crew.
Bound Round founder and CEO, Janeece Keller, said: “With it becoming increasingly daunting for parents as they plan their summer holidays with the family, we’re thrilled to be able to produce this valuable resource for local and visiting families in Sydney.
“The website is set to highlight the very best destination and activities that kids are guaranteed to enjoy around Sydney’s waterways and ferry destinations this year, by leaning on insights from kids themselves – an approach we’re dedicated to at Bound Round.”
