| No more Glory in Norfolk

CARNIVAL has confirmed it will later this
year relocate the Carnival Glory from its prior
home of Norfolk, Virginia to Miami, Florida at
the end of its current season in Oct.
The decision sees Norfolk join fellow US East
Coast ports Baltimore and Boston as former
ports for the company’s vessels.
A new rule forcing the company to burn
lower sulfur fuel – one which is outside the
control of officials in Norfolk & a requirement
of the International Maritime Organisation –
was Carnival’s cited reason for the withdrawal.
