Following the announcement of Norwegian Jewel’s deployment to Australasia commencing November 2017, Senior Vice President and Managing Director for Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Asia Pacific, Steve Odell, together with Vice President of Sales for Norwegian Cruise Line Australia & New Zealand, Nicole Costantin, undertook a site check of the ship in Seattle ahead of the company’s inaugural consumer campaign promoting the ship, planned for October 2016.
“From the moment you step foot aboard Norwegian Jewel the freedom and flexibility of choice that Norwegian Cruise Line has become renowned for is apparent,” said Mr Steve Odell.
“The ship offers a wide variety of accommodation at diverse price points, as well as a huge choice of dining venues, 16 in total, ranging from casual cafes, ice-cream and dessert bars and extravagant buffet restaurants to unique specialty dining experiences – including quality steakhouses, Brazilian barbecue, sushi and sake, teppanyaki, and fine dining Italian and French venues – all quite easy to find and book using the ship’s interactive digital wayfinding signage.
“Norwegian Jewel’s on board entertainment is also incredible, with the ship’s purpose built Stardust Theatre presenting incredible music, magic and cirque-acrobatic shows – with additional shows, including Australian Ballroom Spectacular, Burn the Floor soon to be added,” added Mr Odell.
Norwegian Cruise Line’s Nicole Costantin said: “One of my favourite elements of Norwegian Jewel, which I expect will be incredibly popular among local cruisers, is The Haven – an exclusive enclave that in essence is a luxury ship within a premium-contemporary vessel, complete with luxuriously appointed accommodation, private pool and sundeck, dedicated dining area and concierge, as well as 24-hour butler service.”
The Haven’s expansive accommodation options range from Courtyard Penthouses with private balconies and courtyards, through to Three Bedroom Villas which accommodate up to eight people and include a private garden with hot tub.
Discussing the upcoming marketing push, Ms Costantin said, “October marks an exciting month for us, with our first major marketing and sales push for Norwegian Jewel coinciding with Norwegian Cruise Line’s 50th anniversary, celebrating the line’s longstanding reputation as a leader in innovative cruising with one of the youngest fleets at sea.”
