Pandaw Expeditions, pioneers of river cruising in Southeast Asia, will launch a new cruise in November 2015 along one of the most ruggedly picturesque sections of the Mekong River in Laos.
The cruise will venture deep into mountain gorges, visit remote tribal villages and spend two nights in UNESCO World Heritage listed Luang Prabang.
A luxury river ship, the RV Laos Pandaw, is being purpose built for the shallow upper Mekong with a low draught and a powerful engine. It will have 10 luxury staterooms including an owner’s suite. Transfers, excursions, crew gratuities, meals, lectures and locally made soft and alcoholic drinks are included in the price.
The RV Laos Pandaw will be the first river ship since pre World War 11 to cross all of Laos from Vientiane to the border of Thailand, and the 14th ship in the Pandaw fleet which operates in Cambodia, Vietnam and Burma.
The Laos Mekong 10-night cruises will operate from November 1, 2015 to January 30, 2016. Prices start at USD2925 per person including a 10 percent discount for bookings made by January 5 2015.
