THE German port of Kiel has announced
plans to expand its Berth No 1, to
accommodate ships measuring 300 metres.
The extension will be completed in time for
the 2013 cruise season, and will mark the third
Kiel terminal that can facilitate larger ships.
“More cruises start and end in Kiel than in
any other German port,” said Port md Dirk
Claus, who added that the investment would
cement Kiel’s long term position.
