BEWARE THE HOT TUB!
The iconic Playboy Mansion in Los
Angeles, home to famed lothario Hugh
Hefner and his ‘bunnies’, has come under
fire, for reasons not related to lifestyle, but
rather to water.
It seems the tourist hot spot has caused
more than 100 guests to become ill from
sitting and streaming in Hefner’s coveted
‘hot tub’.
Following the spate of sickness, the LA
Health Department visited the Mansion and
took samples of hot tub water, from which
they found traces of the potentially fatal
legionnaires disease bacteria.
THEY’RE HONEST IN OHIO.
Tourists to the US state of Ohio can
breathe a little easier knowing that the
loss of their wallet or camera may not
spell the beginning of a nightmare,
following the return of around $1,500 in
cash by a bus driver to his passenger.
According to reports, the driver spotted
the wad of cash sitting on a seat after he
dropped his last passenger off.
After counting the cash, the driver
radioed his boss to track down its owner,
who turned out to be a woman with a
development disability who had just
cashed her monthly disability check and
wouldn’t have been able to pay her bills
without it.
LOVE A RUM?
Believe it or not but Celebrity Summit is
set to host a Rum Renaissance Caribbean
Cruise this November around (you
guessed it) the Caribbean.
Onboard the rum-themed voyage guest
speakers will expound the virtues of the
brown and clear liquids, with seminars on
the birthplace of great rums as well as
tasting events and VIP excursions to rum
distilleries and visitor centres.
“Along the way, we’ll do some serious
testing and tasting of Caribbean rums, look
for special bargains on island rums and
learn about the masters of rum that make
these spirits,” said the cruise organisers.
“We’ll enjoy the very best rums within
their native context of sunny beaches,
palm trees and crystal clear Caribbean
waters,” they added.
