PEOPLE LIKE THE SLOW PACE.
In an age where television plots move as
fast as free furniture on the side of the
road, it is refreshing to find one TV station,
albeit on the other side of the world in
Norway, embracing a slower approach.
Streamed live for a total of 8040
minutes straight, Norwegians responded
surprisingly well to the station’s live
coverage of a Hurtigruten Norwegian
coastal voyage onboard MMS Nordnorge.
Cameras across the ship recorded
passengers on deck, the sights, nearby
boat traffic, and officers on the bridge.
Around a quarter of Norway’s
population tuned in at some point to the
broadcast, with some staying glued for up
to seven hours in one sitting.
