NORWEGIAN Cruise Line’s (NCL) Norwegian Prima drifted from her dock in Port Canaveral on the weekend, after her lines snapped.
Sudden gusts of around 75km/h contributed to the stress that snapped the ropes holding the ship to port as she was preparing to depart.
Video posted of the incident show the lines breaking, with two tugboats moving Prima back to the dock to hold her in place safely while new lines were attached.
No injuries were reported in the incident, and Prima’s seven-night itinerary should not be impacted, according to media reports.
The incident saw a brief interruption to embarkation and luggage delivery
