on offer for Princess Cruises’
2012-13 program, including
61 local sailings.
FOR THE FIRST TIME, AUSTRALIANS HAD EQUAL
access to Princess’ earlybird fares when
bookings opened simultaneously around the
world on Friday.
The 2012-13 Australia and New Zealand
program includes the return of Sea Princess
for a second summer season sailing from
Sydney; Sun Princess spending six months
based in Brisbane, as well as Sydney and
Fremantle; and Dawn Princess cruising from
Melbourne and Sydney.
Diamond Princess will offer six voyages
between Sydney and Auckland, adding
Wellington and Picton to create a longer 14-
night itinerary.
The line offers a total of 31 NZ cruises.
New options include a 33-night cruise
around Australia and New Zealand, two 40-
night sailings to China and Japan, and an
11-night cruise from Sydney to Queensland
to coincide with the total solar eclipse in
November 2012.
South Pacific cruises, from Sydney and
Brisbane, each feature up to four ports of
call in Fiji – more than any other cruise line.
Prices for an 11-night cruise to Fiji start at
$1,699 per person twin-share.
The new international programs include
Princess’ largest Europe deployment and an
expanded Alaska schedule.
Fares for a seven-night Inside Passage
cruise start at $799 per person twin-share.
Other programs launched include Asia, Africa
& India; Canada & New England; Caribbean;
Europe; Hawaii, Tahiti & South Pacific; Mexico
and Pacific Coast; Panama Canal; South
America & Amazon, and World Cruises.
Princess Cruises’ executive vice president
Jan Swartz said the global launch was timed
for passengers who like to book far in advance.
“We hope that having by having all their
choices available our passengers can find
the perfect cruise to fill out their travel
plans,” Swartz said.
