Resorts World Bimini will launch the first “Full Moon Party” cruises on Saturday 6 December, which coincides with the full moon in December. Full Moon Parties will be held monthly on a Saturday closest to the Full Moon of that month.
Programmed similarly to the Full Moon Party in Thailand, the festivities begin as guests step onboard Bimini SuperFast, starting 3:30pm Saturday. As the sun sets during sail away at 6pm, the party swings into high gear as the Full Moon rises over the waters of Miami. After 3 hours of partying while en route to the beautiful island of Bimini – where the Full Moon is clearest seen for hundreds of miles around – guests arrive directly to the new Bimini Jetty at Resorts World and are transported to the new Sabor Beach Club where the party explodes into a fevered pitch of music and dance featuring a variety of DJs and live entertainers until the early hours of Sunday.
As the moon sets and the sun rises, guests can enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast and head to Paradise Beach to swim in the crystal clear turquoise waters, soak up the sun, enjoy beach yoga or take a morning run on Paradise Beach. Board the ship by 10am and continue the party or continue to get more sun on the way home. Enjoy a brunch and arrive in Miami at 1pm Sunday.
The Full Moon Party cruise package is $199 per person based on double occupancy and is inclusive of food, port charges and government fees. Third and fourth passengers staying in the same cabin are $75 each. A further option is to book the resort condominiums with up to 4 additional guests in a 2 or 3-bedroom condo for $75 each.
The cruise departs Port Miami at 6 p.m. Saturday, December 6(th) and returns at 1 p.m. Sunday, December 7(th). For the December 6 Full Moon Party cruise, the moon rises at 5:56 p.m. Saturday and sets at 6:44 a.m. Sunday, coinciding with the sunset and sunrise for the perfect viewing of the full moon for more than 12 hours. Subsequent Full Moon Parties will be held on Saturdays of January 3(rd), February 7(th), March 7(th), April 4(th), May 2(nd) and June 6(th) of 2015 when the moon is closest to being full.
Guests staying in cabins must have birth certificates with a government issued ID and passengers staying on land must have passports. Alcoholic drinks and gambling are restricted to guests 18 years of age, in accordance with Bahamian law.
