A new home-port and a
record number of ships will
offer the line’s widest ever
range of itineraries next
season.
RCI WILL OFFER NEW CRUISES FROM AMSTERDAM
and base an extra ship in Europe in 2012,
bringing the fleet total to 12.
Serenade of the Seas is set to make its
European debut from Barcelona, with
alternating 12-night cruises: one of the
itineraries featuring an overnight in Venice
and the other offering port calls in Greece
and Turkey.
Brilliance of the Seas will also operate a
fresh series of Northern Europe itineraries out
of the new home-port of Amsterdam as well
as Copenhagen.
The program features an additional eight
regional embarkation ports: Toulon, Marseille
and LeHavre, France; Genoa, Messina
(Sicily), and Bari, Italy; Valencia, Spain; and
Kusadasi (Ephesus) Turkey.
Maiden calls will be made at Arhus,
Denmark; Klaksvik, Faroe Islands; and
Leknes (Lofoten), Norway.
The deployment again includes Europe’s
largest home-ported vessels, the Freedom
Class Liberty of the Seas and Independence
of the Seas.
Liberty will add shorter five-night Western
Mediterranean itineraries, ex Barcelona, to
the popular schedule of seven-night cruises;
and Independence will stay in Southampton,
offering Med and Canary Islands sailings and
some samplers (three or four nights) to
France and Ireland.
From Rome, Mariner of the Seas is introducing
12-night Holy Land holidays with overnights
in Jerusalem and Alexandria, Egypt; and
seven-night Western Med cruises between
Jun and mid-Sep.
Vision of the Seas adds two new six-night
Norwegian Fjord cruises from Oslo.
Voyager will spend most of the season
sailing out of Venice to the Greek Isles and
Turkey, but will shift from seven-night
itineraries to 10- and 11-night cruises, with
overnight calls in Istanbul.
Splendour will also return to its popular
schedule of seven-night Greek Isles sailings
roundtrip from Venice from late Apr through
early Nov.
Jewel of the Seas will focus on Scandinavia
and Russia vacations; and Adventure,
Navigator and Grandeur of the Seas will have
a wide-ranging roster of Med cruises.
Cruise-tours are available in Italy, Spain,
Turkey, and a combined Paris and London trip.
In total, RCI ships will be based in 12 ports,
calling at 101 ports in 34 countries on
itineraries ranging from three to 16 nights.
Adventure, Jewel, Liberty and Voyager are
now open for booking.
